Subject: 1965 Coronet Steering Wheel

Mopar Group,

I am in the process of stripping out all the interior metal that can be chromed. I was just going to send out the console items but as I looked around the other metal parts have deteriorated more than i originally thought.

This brings me to the Steering Wheel Horn Ring. I have looked al through the 1965 Service manual and found nothing on reconditioning or dismantling the steering wheel. So I looked in the Parts Manual. It shows a diagram with a screw and bushing. I am thinking that that is for the hub. My Horn Rim has no screws or other itms holding it on.  Does the horn rim just pry off?

The service manual did not even document how to change a turn signal switch. That is another issue, passenger side brake light not working, and has been discussed here previously. i believe I saved this discussion as i have many of the others as well.

Any advice on the Horn Rim would be appreciated. Also if I just missed the reference area in the service manual.

P.S. SC just dodged another storm.
