Southwestern Mills County (where the dragstrip is located) is under mandatory evacuation as of last sunday. If you check the website it says they are closed til further notice. The whole area is having a big problem with the ground water level even as the levee holds. With the river being as high as it is the ground water in the whole flood plain is up. I remember last year or the year before, there was just an above average wet period and they had water coming up through the track. And if the levee breaks it's Katie bar the door. There have been several breaches already and it's only been 3-4 weeks. This is supposed to last 3-4 months! So far I think it's OK but I may have to build a marine poly if the river keeps rising. Dodger volunteered to transport LeRoar to the 1/4 mile track at Kearney, NE if MAM isn't running.
