Re: 440 Change over,, "Advise/Tec help"

Make sure you have the right motor mounts. Both the rubbers and the metal mounts from the rubber mounts to the engine block. There are many mounts out there that claim to work on big blocks but don't. Other than that every thing should work fine. Installing a set of headers will be a pain too. Next time I pull the big block out of my 65 Coronet I will put the car on a lift, unbolt the k frame and just raise the car off the motor. In fact if you have a lift available, it will save you hours and not scratch any engine bay paint and the headers can be pre installed versus leaving the motor loose to install the headers. Also use the starter out of a late model mopar. They bolt right in and take up less room. Make sure the stud that the cable from the battery mounts to is not long as it will ground against the block. Trust me on both the mounts and starter as I experienced the sparks from the starter and the motor being mis aligned with the wrong mounts.
