Re: Progress on my 64 Fury

Thamls every one. What Dodger says makes sense to me. The 65 colume shift would take a different shift and park cable cause of adapting to the colume linkage. The 65 with console shift would take the same shift and park cables as the 64. console shift. All pushbutton shift and park cables fom 62-64 would be the same and would fit into the 65 tranny using pushbuttons , but MAY?? be longer if using a 64-65 console shifter.

Do I have this right? And does it nake any difference in fitment of both cables whether it is for big block or small block trannys?? Thanks again............................MO

No,,,,,,,,, 62-63 cars were push button, no console shift,,,,, 64-65
console shift cables were the same, 65 column shift cables were all by them self The push button cables may work on the console models, but would be longer

Do I under stand correctly that 62-4 cars use the same cables console or
not. 65 cars use specific cables for console or on column. So there are four
different cables?

1964-1965 all B bodies w/Console use the same shift and the
same park
cable; 1965 B's w/o Console use a unique shift and unique
park cable.
