Re: rear gear ratio vs RPM




the given is that it takes 1331 tire rotations per minute to go 70 mph  
(4300 divided by 3.23)  so in reverse the new gear (2.93 times 1331 equals  new 
engine rpm to achieve)  2.93 times 1331 equals 3899.83 rpm

That sounds like a lot of rpm's for a 3:23.
You also  need tire diameter.
