That goes unsaid. Our stiff gear cruising is confined to stop and go but being brought up in the city, that is all we knew. The stoplight to stoplight grand prix was sure fun.

i have a 456 gear ratio 8 3/4 in my 65 barracuda, 340 approx 500 horses. it is an awesome light to light or quarter mile car. but long drives, not. jeff

either 3:91 or 4:11 would work depending on how far you
drive to the track and what your threshold for economic pain
is for gas bills. I had 4:10's in my small block 4-speed
Duster a couple of years ago and a 60 mile round trip cost
about $60 but...that car did fly, I sure miss it. You might
try contacting Dan Dvorak in Florida, I thought I had seen
recently where someone was advertising 3:73's for the 8 3/4
