RE: ECU and Engine Miss Diagnosis



My coil positioning caused my coil to heat up and similar conditions 
followed. My Accel must not be angled downward on level as it causes the 
plates to be exposed and they arc and heat up the coil. Similarly I also 
had issues with the wrong ballast resistor causing the ECU to have 
problems with RPM's. I have mentioned this before. I use the .25 race 
resistor when racing and a .8 resistor for the street. Some by-pass the 
resistor for racing and I have done it in the past. It OK but if you run 
at idle too long it can cause the coil to heat up and fail. My car would 
flat die! The 1.5 resistor wouldn't allow RPM's over 5K, maybe less. 
Just what I found.
