On my car there is no evidence that there was ever a seal between the hood and the radiator support. The way the front of the hood is designed it drops down in front of the radiator support about 3". Here are a couple of pictures: <a com/albums/ab248/63mopar/Sport%20Fury/?action=view¤t=P1010246.jpg" target="_blank"><img p://i868.photobucket.com/albums/ab248/63mopar/Sport%20Fury/P1010246.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> If you look at where the latch hook is and where it engages the latch bar you can see how much overlap there is. I also counted and I have @ 16 fins per inch on my radiator in answer to our compatriot Dennis in Yuma. I don't have a high flow thermostat. I guess my higher flow water pump won't help a lot with a standard t-stat. So that's a cheap next step. It's irritating when you start looking for fan shrouds and see that there are late 60's B-body shrouds available for @ $85 and the ones for our cars are $250 and there probably isn't a nickles worth of difference in them. Makes me wonder if I could buy the cheaper one and modify it to fit. Paul L.
