You do not have to bore the crank for the pilot bushing.There is a bearing that can be put in the end of the crank to support the nose of the 4 speed input shaft. It presses into the depression that the nose of the converter fits into. I remember getting it from NAPA but I'd bet Brewers has it. Probably makes more sense for those who are swapping from an auto to a 4 speed and not tearing down the engine.
