Hamtramck Pronunciation?

Could anyone possibly spell this out for me - as it should be pronounced?

My guess would be Ham-tra-mic? Close maybe? Might this be an old Indian name? Kinda like a small town near me called Macungie. Pronounced Ma-kun-gee.
