Glad the expectations were exceeded; seldom happens.
Yes, the 742 cases seem to be the case of choice for a couple
reasons...and
the 3.55 ratio is reputed to be a surprsingly good 1/4 mile gear as well
as
a nice street gear; best of both worlds.
I have third member overload right now and should probably sell my 742
case
3.23 third member to thin the herd. The 3.23 gear is not made anymore
and I
thought it to be an excellent gear, especially for the open road and yet
it
was still considered a "Performance" gear ratio by Mopar. I am running
the
3.91 in my 340 car and the 3.73 ratio in my Stroker Poly vehicle.
