Put your box spring & mattress with out a frame on top of the bump in your
bedroom floor.  Tell the wife it is the latest invention to stabilize your
bed incase of an earthquake to keep you from smashing into the wall.... "It

The only problem is it's under my bedrooms. So I'd have to raise the
floor in the bedrooms. I'm only 5'7" but I think that'd be an issue.
It's nice having the garage under the house as it stays warm and/or cool
as desired due to the protection from the house around it.
 
I know, I can dig a pit! Throw in some crocodiles to keep the
undesirables out :-)
