Frank Mitchell (I know not my favorite guy either) has new heater cores for 62-65 B body cars. Or at least he did when I got one for my 63 Fury a couple of years ago. About $125 if I remember right.

Last time I looked no '63 reproduction heater control valves were made. But JC Auto will rebuild your car's heater control valve.

I don't think you need to pull the dash. There are some c shaped clips holding the sections of the heater cover together, if I remember correctly. You can phone Jeff Carter at JC Auto and he will give you some tips on removing the heater control valve I bet. He is a good Mopar guy.

If the heater core is bad, you'll need to get that rebuilt too, I think, because the last time I looked no reproductions were made. There is a rebuilder listed on the 62-65 Mopar Vendor's Page.

I have never had the heater connected in the car, I have a couple of
questions:

How do I replace the heater control valve if I need to?  I looked in the
manual and most of the section on the heater discussed the A/C that I
don't have.  All I see is the heater valve in a 90 degree pipe going
into the heater box through a cover with a couple of screws.

Second question, are the heater control valves still available?

Last question, will the heater box come out without removing the dash?
I have no idea what the condition of the heater core is and would like
to check it and inspect the heater box if I can get it out.  Again the
manual was not much help.
