POR (was Re: Small holes in floor and trunk)

All the loose rust needs to get removed before POR goes on. If wire brushed you need to scuff the resulting smooth area up before the POR is applied. A couple coats of POR is better, as even a safety pin sized spot that is missed will allow moisture to eventually get under the POR and cause rust to reappear. For POR to work as advertised you need to sand/remove all loose rust, clean the area with Marine Clean and prepare the surface with Metal Ready.
