Re: Remote Door Mirror Removal Tips?

The hole under the original mirror on my Fury was large enough to pull the lever assemble with the four cables through without disconnecting them.

Subject: Remote Door Mirror Removal Tips?

Hi all,

Seems I vaguely recall (been a while) that in the past I've used a screwdriver and carefully pried open the tabs that hold each cable in place just enough to get the cable out. The reverse with a pair of small pliers to install.
See http://1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/temp/remote-mirror-cable.jpg for the area I'm writing about.

The tabs holding the cables don't seem too sturdy, for more than one R&R without snapping off.

Is there another way to get the mirror off the door?

Thanks,
Gary H.
