RE: Rads, trans coolers,temp?

I always try the cheap and simple fixes first. I got a hot running
Mopar to cool down by switching to a smaller water pump pulley, as per
Don Dulmage. Worked like a charm, and got the pulley for free.

Amazingly, I have also cooled hot-running Mopars over the years by
installing a 16 lb radiator cap, and nothing more. This only worked on
two or three cars, but when it worked it completely solved the problem.
Cost about six bucks each time.

I think fan shrouds are effective. What car manufacturer didn't use
them? I have found they help the most when I also seal the radiator to
the support and the hood, as Chrysler often did with A/C cars. You want
as much incoming air as possible forced through the radiator, as you all
know.
