All good info  but no professional in the history of the world includling 
the guy who made it in the first place ever torqued the screws or bolts with 
a  torque wrench. . That i can guarantee.
Be clean. and do not ever use gasket cement on any part of an auto 
transmission.

you need  too get yourself a technical service manual for your ride , and 
lots of rags and some speedy  dry  take out all bolts but one  get large 
catch pan hold pan with one hand and loosen the last  bolt tilt  towards pan 
hopefully  some of the fluid goes in pan remove old gasket and filter drain 
converter and  replace with about 10 quartss  filter screws too 28 inch 
pounds base bolts too 150 inch pounds   good luck
