'64 Valiant Death Trap Parts (was RE: bigger drum brakes)

http://www.totallystainless.com/ sells stainless suspension bolts.

It's easy to get discouraged by the big picture.

Maybe the way to approach it is one system at a time. The voltage regulators / fire-hazard amp meter is a quick fix; replace the regulator and run that wire update as shown in a link from the tech page.

Do the front suspension repair and brakes next.

Unless you are pulling wheel stands the 7.25 and drive shaft you can do as needed. Those are not inherently unsafe if in routine shape.

2 cents.

Thanks,
Gary H.

>That would be helpful, as I don't think I have time or money to completely re-engineer every bit on this car; the electrical system (mechanical voltage regulators, fire-hazard amp meters, etc), the rear axle (stock 7.25"), the front suspension (bolt-on lower ball joint), the brakes (manual 9" drums), the u-joints (ball and trunnion.) It is frustrating to think how I will have to change everything (practically) on the car in order to enjoy it safely.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
