Brian,  Why not leave the fan on the water pump for normal cooling.  Wire
the pusher electric fan in front of the radiator to a toggle switch under
the dash to be used only when needed, like in traffic or extremely hot
weather.  You will get tired of the noise from the electric fan running all
the time also.
