It is ok to use it as a booster.

I will be installing an electric fuel pump on my 63 SF with a 383. I am doing this to help prevent vapor lock, I am located in Yuma Arizona where temperatures well above 100 are the normal.

Is it better to remove the stock mechanical fuel pump and pipe directly to the carb or is it ok to use the electric fuel pump as a booster pump.

Thanks
