Re: waking up a sleeping 318

The hole is 1/8" NPT right? So get some fittings and work your way up until you can connect a funnel with rubber line or something, then just pour oil into the funnel and wait for it to drain through.

Don's technique was to remove the oil filter and the oil pressure sending

the sending unit hole until it runs out at the filter.

What about pre-priming oil in the engine? Don D. posted a technique for
big blocks a few years ago that should work for small blocks too. The
technique involved using gravity instead of pulling the distributor and
using a drill and tool to run the oil pump. Anyone recall Don's trick? I
can't seem to find it right-a-way.
