Gary, I suggest you buy one of the kits from one of the Mopar vendors. A friend of mine had all kinds of problems with his manifold coming loose and leaking on his 440 until he bought and installed the correct studs and nuts from one of these kits. And I don't know of anybody who's had good luck with using stainless steel hardware on exhaust manifolds or headers. It seems like they contract and expand at a different rate than the block and come loose.

Will someone remind me the size / length I need for hanging a stock cast iron manifold on a 383 head?
