The vacuum advance should be plugged into the timed vacuum port on the carb
Jake. I've always connected my electric chokes to the 12 volt side of the
ballast resistor.

Subject: Carb questions
This is something I should remember, but CRS is setting in. Do our engines
use timed or continuous vacum from the carb for the distributer vacuum
advance?
Also, have any of you connected an electric choke? If so, where did you
connect the "hot" wire? The instructions call for a switched connection. I
hate to run a wire all the way to the fuse box.
I know I've done this before on newer vehicles, but heres that CRS stuff
again!
Car in question is a '63 Plymouth with a 383. Thanx
