depending on the year but real sixpack pistons (1971 and the TRW L2355fs) are or should be .005"to .000". Also dont forget ,folks, that the felpro blue and most other gaskets are now approx .020" thicker than stock were.  BTW 022" as mentioned would be not unusual in a stock prodction block and all other being equal and taken care of would be fine for street use although I would probably squeeze it to the factory spec just for the estra power small as it may e and so i could get my square cornered head to sleep at night. . Really it is you own call. .
