RE: Mopar Wins NHRA Super Stock Title - First Since 1977

Oh Yea, the Alderman, Geoffrion days were great for Mopar. It was too bad
at the end of that run what happened with Wayne County Speed and all the
cheating that was going on. I think Alan Johnson and his dad have a good
program going on with Larry Morgan. It will bear fruit next year. They did
good
this year, but I expect them to be up there with Anderson, Connely, and Jeg.

The expense is getting totally out of hand. We can only afford to run the
TAD
a couple times a year, and have to be paid good money to do it. So we are
all
stuck with bracket racing Chevy's. Even that is way expensive anymore. If
you
go faster than 9.99 just keeping all your safety equipment up with the
current
SFI spec is getting to be a burden. Not to mention keeping your equipment up

to par.

Earl

Thanks Earl for updating us. NHRA drag racing has gotten so expensive it
isn't even possible to dream about it anymore. BUT!!! it gives me a great
since of pride to know a Mopar is the overall champ. I would love to see
one of the Mopar pro stock guys win the national championship again. Do you
remember the Darrall Alderman days??
