Depends on your state. for instance, VA antique tags allow pleasure driving within a 250 mile radius of your address. I underdstand they may do away with the mileage limit this year to allow unlimited use. NJ has QQ antique tags and Hot Rod tags. the QQ ones are more restrictive as to use.
