Roller painting

A friend of mine's wife painted their cube van with a roller. Of course it
is mostly flat surface, so it wasn't too hard.
Like any painting, most of the work is in the prep, cleaning, sanding
patching, not in painting. A spray gun is no harder to use than a roller.
You can get drips with a roller, as well as a gun, if you try to load the
surface with too much paint.
I had a 1960 pickup that I bought from a guy who had painted it with oil
base paint by using a brush. He did a decent job. The paint stayed on the
time I had the truck, which was from 1976 to 1983. It looked pretty flat
from oxidation, but for a $400 truck it was OK.
