Dooner i am glad you brought this up. NO your engine does not rev up to the rated RPM before the car moves. . The only time that would be possible is with a trans brake and you foot almost in the oil pan.     You have brought to light the common misconception people have about converters . Thank you. 
Cheap converters (10 inch and larger with stall)are slippery but even they dont have to reach rated stall to move the car.  
Dynamic 9 1/2 as Bill mentioned drives like a stock converter. You can not tell it isnt. and yet it will allow the big cam engine to idle without breaking everything insite . It will pull away like a stocker BUT, If you Brake it and load it up when you relase it you may get a nose bleed. 
Really guys we are not dreaming. they really are that good.
