You will have to have the axles redrilled or new axles made to get the 5 on
4-1/2 bolt pattern. All "A" body rear ends came from the factory with 4"
bolt pattern. The later "A" body rears (starting about 1973) with 4-1/2 bolt

You can use it and it should have the bigger bolt pattern,to match later
front disc brake upgrade. As to doing the 340/360 swap we just did the 3.9
v6 auto swap into a 70 dart . All i can say is wow !!! what fun to drive
compared to /6 auto,spins tires easily cruises effortlessly and early tests
show 27 mpg plus.  Doug B.
