The gas gauge needle on my '64 Sport Fury wanders as much as 1/4 of a tank
as I drive.
It seems to drop as I make wide or fast turns and takes a while to level out
again.
I know gas gauge needles normally move around on steep hills, but this seems
excessive.
Is this normal on 60's Mopars? If not, what causes this -- the float in the
tank or the gauge itself?
Thanks for any advice.
