RE: Aluminum slant 6



 I was talking /6 years ago with a machinist who is
now in that big machine shop in the sky. He had one of
the aluminum blocks and his comment was that they are
not real good when you start "leaning" on them.
 Apparently the sleeves sort of free stand in the
block,if that makes any sense.They are not enclosed by
the block at the top,I'm sure someone on this fine
list will know for sure?
 If this is true,the long stroke of the 225 in
relation to the bore size would cause some stability
problems at high rpm, to my way of thinking.My way of
thinking is often wrong however.
