Ray,

I like "Good Elephant Ears" made out of at least .250 aluminum. Motor plates
have an
advantage when it comes to mounting an alternator, you can use the pass side
of the
plate and build it in. I have use elephant ears for ever, and never had a
problem. They
can be easier for routing lines. I am putting ears in my new Duster race
car.

With ears, I do prefer to put a front to back torque bar just to make sure
you don't take
out trans cases. Unless this Satellite is going to run low nines or mid
eights, I would not
worry about running ears.

 Hey everyone,

Here is a question to all the racers out there.

I was about to order the elephant ears for my 1965 Satellite big with a 440
auto, but was advised to get a full moptor plate (front) instead. I am just
looking for some feed back on both if anyone has had any experience with
either. Seems most racers have the elephant ears, but was told these will
distort more than the full motor plates.

Thanks everyone.

Ray
