Can't believe it was Sept 2024... Time flies when you are getting old.
So, I am finally done restoring my '64 Dodge plastic dash pieces. I did do a practice piece using the Alclad chrome airbrush paint, and it is indeed a slightly closer approximation to the original plastichrome. The hardest part of the process is masking! Backbreaking work, really. My final pieces are shown below. Final verdict... If you want to save some money, this should be good enough. If you want perfect, you can't do it this way. There are way too many little imperfections, which aren't obvious in the pictures.
