Re: {Chrysler 300} G Convert on BAT

Sort of ties into the 'created' cars discussion of late on convertible 55 and 56 models. Created cars are fine if fully disclosed as 'tribute' or 'fabricated' and not falsely claimed to be something they are not. A '61G' built on a shorter wheelbase, lighter, Newport, with a 440 and aluminum 727 sporting crossrams instead of the 413 and cast iron trans would be quicker, faster, and easier to maintain/rebuild if/when necessary. It just wouldn't be real.

Heck, while we're at it, start with a Newport that had the manual trans and put a later 4 speed in it, too! Oh, to be young again. ;-)

8213154857 appeared today. I recognize it, seems as though I've seen it before, at an auction perhaps. Lots of correctable deficiencies. My apologies should it belong to one of you.
