-- Just one possibility- your headlight switch. They have a thermal breaker. When you go into high beam mode it draws more current. So, you would probably see the high beams for a few seconds before it cut out but I had a switch do this. Changed the switch, no problem since. Otherwise can you check voltage output at dimmer foot switch?
