Bill – I’ve been advocating joint meets for years. More cars = more people = more reasons to attend. But whenever I mention it, I’m met with blowback of ‘we can’t’ or ‘we’ll never’ or ‘too difficult’ or other negative responses. But when it actually happened, like when the WPC and Desoto Club had a joint meet in Minneapolis in 2013, it turned out fabulously well. Subject: Re: {Chrysler 300} Upcoming Mopar Events - Midwest Regional - This is indeed an ongoing saga. Next year, 2025, will be the celebration for 100 years of Chrysler Corp. We, the national WPC club, are doing it in conjunction with Chryslers at Carlisle since it is the largest all Chrysler products meet. We have agonized for years on when to hold our national meet so as not to conflict with other Chrysler related events. It's just not possible. Those that have been reading my soapbox rants know that I have been preaching that all Chrysler products national clubs should come together to whatever degree possible. In my opinion, just coordinating events would be a great start. We would certainly be open to more discussion/ideas about how to figure this out. Will look forward to seeing my fellow 300 Club members this weekend at Carlisle. WPC club will have a space as well and we will be promoting the Chrysler 100 event with Carlisle Events next year. Should have some special guests and a few announcements about the event. I'm with you Dave & Kya! For sure! We enjoy all that we can squeeze in each season of Shows! HOPE to make Iola NEXT YEAR! Sigh! I guess I understand having these shows the same time every year, but Kya and I will not go to Chryslers at Carlisle again because it’s always the same time- July and too dern hot with no shade. At least Iola has shade- 🙀😅 Some other car clubs seem to have summer only meets. I have to say, the 300 club has a better approach with spring and fall meets! 👍 Some years they are on consecutive weekends, but most of the time sadly, the events conflict. Mark Strange they would have that show on the same Chrysler Nats. Iola, WI is hosting its huge annual car show this Thursday-Saturday, July 11-13. Looking forward to viewing Bob Brown's and George Collar's beautiful new Forward Look Showroom, housing their collection of about 12-14 '57-'61 Chrysler Letter Cars, DeSotos, Imperial, Dodge and Plymouth, Hemi and 413 Ram display engines, and lots of late '50s period showroom decorations. By Gate 4 - at the Fin-Land exhibit area. Chicagoland Mopar Connection's Mopar Happening in Belvidere, IL at the Boone County Fairgrounds, July 21, 8:00-3:00. Mopars at the Red Barns at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI, July 27, 9:00-4:00. Antique Auto Show at the David Davis Historic Mansion in Bloomington, IL, August 3, 10:00-3:00. All marques. If you'll be attending these events, stop by to visit! And, if you're also displaying your Letter Car, so much the better! --
