Not to mention that both shows also conflict with the BSAAC show at the Endicott Mansion in Dedham, MA. Probably the largest car show in New England. It’s been going on for over 50 years. Subject: Re: {Chrysler 300} Upcoming Mopar Events - Midwest Regional - To follow up on Noel's comment, about every 4-5 years, the two shows are one week apart. It depends on where the Fourth of July falls in the week. Every 4-5 years, Chryslers at Carlisle will push back an extra week so it falls one week after Iola. Then the truly ambitious can make both in the same year. Iola has been going about 20 years longer than Chryslers at Carlisle, and has always been the week after the Fourth of July week. For us MoPar people in Wisconsin and close by, it would have been better if the Carlisle folks had put one of their other shows in early July and had the "Chryslers" in June or August. Would love to not have to pick one or the other. This Carlisle / Iola show dates conflict has been going on for years. Not enough summer weekends to spread around all the shows! Strange they would have that show on the same Chrysler Nats. Iola, WI is hosting its huge annual car show this Thursday-Saturday, July 11-13. Looking forward to viewing Bob Brown's and George Collar's beautiful new Forward Look Showroom, housing their collection of about 12-14 '57-'61 Chrysler Letter Cars, DeSotos, Imperial, Dodge and Plymouth, Hemi and 413 Ram display engines, and lots of late '50s period showroom decorations. By Gate 4 - at the Fin-Land exhibit area. Chicagoland Mopar Connection's Mopar Happening in Belvidere, IL at the Boone County Fairgrounds, July 21, 8:00-3:00. Mopars at the Red Barns at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI, July 27, 9:00-4:00. Antique Auto Show at the David Davis Historic Mansion in Bloomington, IL, August 3, 10:00-3:00. All marques. If you'll be attending these events, stop by to visit! And, if you're also displaying your Letter Car, so much the better! --
