{Chrysler 300} 1962 Trans Button Switch

Now that I have finished installing the Steering Gear and Coulmn (thank you Bob for your support!), I am on to installing the Trans Shifter Switch and Turn Indicator Switch. (If only the dash were out of the car!)

Does the Trans Switch live with the reverse light plug facing the drivers side?  I think it does.

Does the Shifter Cable live on the outside (drivers side) or the inside (passenger side) of the bar support that aids in supporting the dash?  Trying to determine if I need to unclip the new cable from the switch and reroute it.

Any helpful hints are gladly welcomed.
Thanks!
