Try sink sound defamer which is a spray can applicator. Worked great for me. John

I'd think you would have to try to slop gas on top of a properly mounted tank.

Rubber seems like it would trap moisture.

Have you experienced tar paper coming apart due to gas spills?

If any gasoline slops onto the tarpaper, the tar will be dissolved out and make a mess. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Looking for suggestions as to what to put between the gas tank and the floor of the trunk.  I saw on one generic website that original type tar paper is now replaced by a thin rubber sheet.  Hopefully something I can get from a hardware store or the like.  I would like to ensure there is no chance of promoting rusting of the tank or floor.

Thanks
