Re: {Chrysler 300} An evening with Jay Leno

Mark et al:

I really enjoyed the show.   For him to do a 90 minute non-stop dialogue at 72, after a motorcycle accident and his burn accident was something.

Here are two of his car jokes:

1) "Well I had a gasoline burn accident at my garage as most of you know, but let me tell you:  the plastic surgery really wasn't bad, it was not that expensive.   But I live in California, and let me tell you, it was the gas that was the expensive part, the gas!

2) "I love old cars, and recently I have been going through a 1961 Chrysler (this is the 300G that Rob Kern set him up with).  So I take this car out and this pretty woman in her 30's approaches me and says 'I've been watching you and want to give you my phone number'.  Well, I must really still have it!  But I'm happily married so I tell her 'ma'm I am married and can't accept your offer'.  She says 'you don't understand.  I am a traveling for-hire nurse and have been watching you ride around in that old car, and I think I need to give you my card!'

I agree Gary.  Almost a year ago to the day, Pauline and I decided at the last minute to catch his show up in Waukegan, just north of Chicago.  As luck would have it, two front row seats became available for that night's show.  The show was terrific and Jay had the audience laughing with every joke.  Very clean humor that catered to the middle and older age crowd.  Being in the front row meant there was a possibility of becoming part of one of his jokes.  Well, he somehow worked me into two of his jokes and Pauline into one.  I can tell you the audience left the venue uplifted and in great spirits.  Highly recommended.

Ron, I hope you enjoyed the show.

I saw Jay Leno show a couple of decades ago. I am hard to make laugh, he did, he puts on a great show, and he does not use profanity at all.

Hey 300ers,

I just couldn't resist a ticket to Jay's show tonight at the Seneca Alleghany casino in the southwestern corner of New York state.  At least two 300 club members will be here.  I will let you know if he does any car jokes!
