Don’t know if this method would work for a 1964…..

But on my 1962….

I take that lower half of the shroud and hold it vertically on the passenger side of the fan.

Then I rotate it into position, as I also rotate the fan….to walk it in…so to speak.

I don’t know if that makes sense.

I went through and did all the work on the 300K front end of the engine…

New radiator, new correct clutch and fan, new water pump and the like…

So, I go to slip the lower fan shroud in place and guess what? I cannot get it to slip into place. I do not want to chance hurting my new radiator by forcing it.

My question to all is, can the lower shroud on a 300K be installed with everything else in place or do I need to take off the lower radiator hose and/or the fan and clutch to get in in?
