Hi All, At some point in the near future, I will have to pull the package tray to cut it for the rear defroster. It also has a slight sag in the area near the passenger side.
This stuff is a pressed particle board. I know from experience that getting it out without it coming out in parts is not fun. Assuming I get it out relatively clean, what methods have people used to rebuild them? My initial thought is to steam the deformed area and see if I can get it back into shape. Then perhaps fiberglass the rear to stiffen it up. Cut the hole for the defroster and then paint the entire unit. Thoughts? Experiences?
