{Chrysler 300} 1964 Package Tray

Hi All,

At some point in the near future, I will have to pull the package tray to cut it for the rear defroster.

It also has a slight sag in the area near the passenger side.

This stuff is a pressed particle board. I know from experience that getting it out without it coming out in parts is not fun.

Assuming I get it out relatively clean, what methods have people used to rebuild them?

My initial thought is to steam the deformed area and see if I can get it back into shape. Then perhaps fiberglass the rear to stiffen it up. Cut the hole for the defroster and then paint the entire unit.

Thoughts? Experiences?

Thanks, James
