What I hate is that sometimes the chrome is a little thick on the bolt holes and the square wants to pull in hard on the bolt and that can then crack the chrome around the bolt hole and over time you get rust starting there. I take a file and file the holes open just a bit before I take bumpers to the chrome shop so that when plated the bolt will fit without it biting in. Thanks for the heads up on the lights. I vaguely remember having to do that twice! I was working on the rear bumper of a 64. I had it off for re-chrome. That alone took 3 months. When I went to install it, time had passed so I forgot "the trick". I installed the bumper, shimmed it for near perfect alignment and was pretty pleased. Then I went to install the back up lights. Whoops. The back up lights must be installed in the bumper before the bumper is installed on the car. Everything I do I do twice.............and sometimes more than twice..... -- For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylang --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Chrysler 300 Club International" group.
