Rich,There are separate letter car brochures up through the J. The K just seems to have one page of the Chrysler full-line brochure. The J and H brochures still call out the Blue Streak tires but of course they are 15". The J brochure doesn't say much about them. The K page in the full-line doesn't either but they did go back to 14" ones.Finding the AMA specs would tell you. Or maybe a period road test.NickOn Fri, Jan 13, 2023 at 2:41 PM Rich Barber <c300@xxxxxxx> wrote:This has been an interesting thread. Can anyone advise whether Blue Streaks were standard or available in the later years, such as 1964. The build ticket indicates the tires on my ram K rag were Rayon.
I recall repairing huge (9.00’s?) tires with inner liners from a customer’s heavy Buick in the mid-late ‘50’s. I don’t think they were Blue Streaks. Heavy, hard to break down and a general (?) PIA to break down and repair punctures.
At some point I obtained a very nice pair of 8.00 X 15 Blue Streaks with narrow WSW. I never could figure out what kind of car they would go on. Perhaps a latter-day replacement for the wide WSW’s on the ’55-’56 and maybe later 300’s. I need them gone, so if they fit your needs, let me know. They are knee-deep in rubber and well preserved.

Thankful for the rains, especially since I am not inconvenienced. Sympathizing for my fellow Californians suffering and dying in this atmospheric river.

John,
I think that is the case. A 300E or 300F with Captive Air tires would most likely be coded 99 for the tires as they would be a non-standard option. I think the fact that the Blue Streak tires came with the sidewall valve confused the issue when the cars got delivered or sold later. They would look like Captive Air tires even if they didn't have the liner.
I wish I had proof of what tires my 1960 NY wagon had as it is coded 99 for them.
I'm writing up a summary of what I've learned through all these responses.

Nick and Dan,
I'm confused. Dan, if the code on your build sheet was 96, that indicates Blue Streaks which we know had the blue sidewall port.
The Captive-Air code was 69 according to Nick's order form and only on NYer wagons (900x14). That is not to say that a special request could have been made for such tire on a "F" but the build of 96 is the Blue Streak that we know if fitted with an inner safety liner would be made equivalent to the Captive Air. Maybe that was done after delivery?
What fun trying to unravel.

The code on my build sheet is 96 and, yes, the jack instruction label was mounted in the trunk. I have replaced it with a more presentable one.

Dan,
Thanks for that! What tire code is on your build card? Standard code for a 300F is 96. Did your car have the jack instruction label in the trunk?

Hi all:
Attached is a photo of a decal I had Gary Goers reproduce for my F over 25 years ago. We used the old decal as a guide. Apparently my car came with these tires.
