Well, Nix that idea as the smallest they make on those is 1.5 inch. The OD on the box side is 1.45. So back to the other part numbers…. I would however appreciate the steering tube OD so I can look at the other items to order for this conversion of the ground strap. Hi All, Since I am 80 miles from the car…does anyone know off the top of their head what the OD is on the steering column tube? I am going to add a couple of: https://www.mcmaster.com/5915N111/ To my McMaster order for possible use for the jumper wires. These clamps are quick and practical, like Bob said he used with the added benefit of the lug to screw a ring terminal on. I have the steering box here to measure, just not the shaft.
