I’ve read a lot of responses and a lot of good
points have been made. Aspects that get me excited are the fact that it has been off the road for some time and looks relatively complete. Oh, and it’s a Letter Car!
Story sounds pretty interesting too…according to Ed, it was was found and purchased in the late 60s in Barstow CA from someone who apparently needed “Vegas money.” Oh boy.
Condition-wise - I’ve seen worse including a wonderful 1957 MGA that I resurrected from the dead in 2017. Lots of great Sunday afternoons listening to oldies while wrenching in the garage. Kept the cosmetics sweaty but went through all mechanicals…miss it, somewhere in the Netherlands now. I would start down the same path with the 300D.
My $0.02
