{Chrysler 300} 1962 - Trans Issue

Wanted to pick the brains of those much more knowledgeable than I am :).

Working with my ’62 300 Sport which has:
- Rebuilt torque flight.
- New shifter cable.
- Have adjusted the shifter cable (at the trans) per the shop manual.
- Have adjusted all carburetor to transmission linkage specs multiple times per the shop manual.

The problem:
- Car does not wish to shift from 1st to 2nd, when cold.  It’s almost as though I need to mash the pedal to the floor to get it to shift.
(This seems to be that the Transmission Lever being out of adjustment; right?)
- But...Once car warms up it shifts perfectly fine.

Are there other adjustments I need to consider?
(Like bands perhaps?)

Thanks!
Matt Allyn
