Hi Richard, If you’ve had no issues with this one why not leave it in? VR-1 racing oil might also be a good idea, it has zinc and can only help right? I can’t comment on the discoloration but do have an additional question for the group about the pink color on the shaft- is that a characteristic trademark of that brand of cam? Our project K has had some engine work done by the previous owner and we have no records, but it has a cam with pink on the shaft too (and even similar discoloration-see photo). I think the cam is fine. But Noel’s source sounds like a good one. Hope you get a flight out of San Jose!
