When Don Verity rebuilt the transmission in my '57 300C, he
specifically recommended Type F fluid for it.
I can't blame Don or the Type F for the fact that the
transmission "burps" half a cup of fluid out the fill tube when
starting after sitting more than a week or so. Mess! And no,
it's not overfilled, and the cumulative "burps" barely show on the
dipstick.
