I have wasted many hours on this trying to replace a 57 with bad glass . Cannot be taken apart , to redo glass , the metal is rolled over the glass edge . Says “ Guide” underneath the day / nite flip . I bought a nice one made for 50’s chev trucks but thread is larger than mopar , ( of course , 40$ later) Mopar I think is 1/4 28 —off a swivel ball mounted into mirror . Chevy stud is also over an inch long -too long . All the nice ones you see for sale do not unscrew , one piece permanent “dual ball “ on their stem , detachable end made to glue to glass . All that one piece . Maybe someone has been down this road before , or has a good one ? most have damaged silvering ..
